JOIN OUR TEAM

Direct Support Professional We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. The DSP will provide essential support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, assisting them in their daily activities, fostering independence, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals, helping them achieve their personal goals, and encouraging their participation in community activities. Key Responsibilities: - Provide personalized support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. - Assist individuals in developing and achieving personal goals, promoting independence and self-sufficiency. - Facilitate engagement in recreational, social, and educational activities to enhance social skills and community involvement. - Maintain a safe and supportive environment, always ensuring the health and safety of individuals. - Document daily activities, progress, and any behavioral changes in accordance with organizational policies. - Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized support plans. - Provide emotional support and encouragement, fostering positive relationships and communication. - Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or education in social services, special education, or a related field is preferred. - Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is highly desirable. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals and their families. - Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. - Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes. - Must be willing to undergo background checks and training certifications as required.
